Burned Wood Bouquets — Zhzhenka

A seven-piece matryoshka employing the rare zhzhenka (pyrography) technique, where intricate floral bouquets are burned directly into the linden wood surface with a heated metal stylus before being selectively highlighted with paint. The contrast between the dark burned lines and the natural pale wood creates a graphic, almost etching-like quality. A showcase of a rapidly disappearing artisan skill.
