Azure Bloom Gzhel

A seven-piece matryoshka in varying shades of azure and cerulean, featuring large peony blooms rendered in the flowing one-stroke Gzhel technique. The artisan achieves remarkable depth by loading the brush with both dark and light blue simultaneously, producing petals that seem to curl off the surface. Painted on birch wood primed with a chalky white gesso that gives the surface a convincing porcelain quality.
